Chicago Demonstrations and Special Events: May 1 to May 15, 2026

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security Group is actively monitoring the following anticipated demonstrations and special events in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in two-week chronological periods.

Anticipated Events and Protests

  • Friday, May 1 at 1:00pm: 1501 W Randolph (Union Park) to Loop, Group will gather/march for their cause “All Out for May Day: Rally and March” (Anticipated route below) *
    • Gather at Union Park (1501 W Randolph) at 1:00pm
    • Eastbound on Washington to Racine
    • Southbound Racine to Jackson
    • Eastbound Jackson to Halsted
    • Northbound on Halsted to Washington
    • Washington to Daley Plaza for rally
  • Friday, May 1 at 10:00am: 1 S Dearborn (Highlands REIT), Group will gather for their cause “No to ICE Profiteers” *
  • Friday, May 1 at 11:30am: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group will gather for their cause “Chicago Stands for the Rule of Law” *
  • Saturday, May 2 at 8:00am: 1250 S Special Olympics (Museum Campus), Group will gather/run for their event “Run to Remember”
  • Saturday, May 2 at 10:00am: 600 S Columbus to 100 S Columbus, Group will gather/march for their event “Polish Constitution Day Parade”
  • Sunday, May 3 at 8:00am: 400 N Michigan to 800 N Michigan, Group will gather/march for their event “St. Jude Memorial March”
  • Thursday, May 14 at 4:00pm: Grant Park, Group will gather/run for their event “JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge”
  • Ongoing: Deployment of additional federal immigration agents, including Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may continue; Counterprotests will be frequent and ongoing
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests opposing current federal administration policies will continue with localized traffic and transit disruptions

Notes/Analysis

* = Annual May Day protest march through the Loop; Attendance weather-dependent but can be very large; May include smaller “feeder marches” to the primary event, with a possibility of counterprotesters 

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
