In collaboration with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security Group is actively monitoring the following anticipated special events and protests in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in two-week chronological periods.

Anticipated Events and Protests

  • Tuesday, June 2 at 8:00am: 118 N Jefferson (Hampton Inn), Group may gather for their cause “Labor Rights Protest”
  • Wednesday, June 3 at 5:00pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group may gather for their cause “Chicago Says: No War on Cuba”
  • Friday, June 5 at 1:00pm: 455 N Cityfront Pl (Indian Consulate), Group will gather for their cause “Protest Against Indian Government’s heinous Attack on Darbar Sahib Complex at Amritsar”
  • Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7: Grant Park, Group will gather for their event “Pokemon Go Festival” *
  • Friday, June 5 to Sunday, June 7: 201 E Randolph (Millennium Park), Group will gather for their event “Chicago Blues Fest”
  • Friday, June 5 at 6:00pm: 1000 N DuSable Lake Shore (Oak St Beach), Group may gather for their event “Oak Street Beach Trend” **
  • Saturday, June 6 at 1:00pm: 1410 Special Olympics (Soldier Field), Group will gather for their event “International Men’s Soccer: USA versus Germany”
  • Saturday, June 6 at 1:00pm: 151 E Wacker (Hyatt Regency), Group will gather for their cause “All out to Chicago! Call for the release of Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya!”
  • Sunday, June 7 at 10:00am: 1101 S Canal, Group will gather/drive for their event “Stay Ill Sundays Chicago Car Meet”
  • Saturday, June 13 at 7:00pm: Unknown Loop Location, Group may meet/drive for their event “Shut Down Downtown Cruise, Part Two”
  • Sunday, June 14 at 11:00am: Grant Park, Group will gather for their event “Collective Future Project Music Festival”
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests opposing current federal administration policies will continue with localized traffic and transit disruptions

Notes/Analysis

* = Pokemon game event with live and online elements, including a large scavenger hunt activity

** = One of several teen “trend” meet-ups, organized online for various beaches, parks, etc; Other potential sites include Montrose Ave, North Ave, 31st St, 57th Street, Ford City Mall

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
