Anticipated Events and Protests
- Friday, September 12 to Tuesday, September 16: Loop Locations TBD, Group may gather/drive for their event “Mexican Independence Day Weekend Car Caravan(s)” *
- Tuesday, September 16 at 1:00pm: Madison / State to 401 N Wabash, Group will gather/march for their cause “Student Walkout: Protest Against ICE”
- Tuesday, September 16 at 5:30pm: 230 S Dearborn (Federal Plaza), Group may gather for their cause “From LA to Chicago: ICE Out”
- Wednesday, September 17 at 5:00pm: 151 N Franklin (McNally Capital), Group will gather for their cause “All Eyes on Gaza”
- Friday, September 19 at 12:00pm: 160 N LaSalle (State of Illinois), Group will gather for their cause “Divest from Genocide”
- Saturday, September 20 at 12::00pm: 400 S State (Harold Washington Library), Group will gather for their cause “Rally to Thank Justice Sotomayor”
- Sunday, September 21 at 6:00am: N Wabash / Chicago River, Group will gather for their event “Chicago River Swim”
- Sunday, September 21 at 3:30pm: 1410 Special Olympics (Soldier Field), Group will gather for their event “Chicago Bears NFL Game”
- Ongoing: Deployment of additional federal immigration agents, including Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), is expected to continue; Deployment of National Guard units in tourist districts is also a possibility; Counterprotests will result
- Ongoing: Short-notice protests opposing current federal administration policies will continue with localized traffic and transit disruptions
- Ongoing: Daily protests are possible at 55 E Monroe/50 E Adams for immigration hearing/court proceedings, and at 101 W Ida B Wells for regional ICE offices
