Chicago Event and Protest Activity: December 15 to December 31, 2025

In coordination with our cross-sector public safety partners, Titan Security Group is actively monitoring the following anticipated special events and protests in or near the Chicago Loop. Listings are updated on a regular basis, and are presented in chronological two-week periods.

Anticipated Events and Protests

  • Tuesday, December 16 at 5:00pm: 50 W. Washington (Daley Plaza), Group will gather for their event “Lighting of the Menorah”
  • Thursday, December 18 at 11:00am: 122 S Michigan (Philippine Consulate), Group will gather for their cause “All Out for Tita Rebecca!”
  • Thursday, December 18 at 7:00pm: 50 E Ida B Wells (Auditorium Theater), Group will gather for their cause “Zionist Michael Rappaport is not Welcome in Chicago”
  • Friday, December 19 at 8:00am: 160 N LaSalle (State of Illinois), Group will gather for their cause “Protest to Demand Illinois Divest from Genocide”
  • Friday, December 19 at 11:30am: 1 E Jackson (DePaul University), Group will gather/march for their cause “Annual Posada for Immigration Reform”
  • Saturday, December 20 at 7:00pm: 1410 Special Olympics (Soldier Field), Group will gather for their event “Chicago Bears NFL Game”
  • Wednesday, December 31 at 6:00pm: Loop Location TBD, Group may gather for their event “Let’s End the Year with Dis Banger 2k26” *
  • Wednesday, December 31 at 7:00pm: 200 W Wacker (Riverwalk), Group will gather for their event “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” **
  • Ongoing: Deployment of additional federal immigration agents, including Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), may continue; Counterprotests will be frequent and ongoing
  • Ongoing: Short-notice protests opposing current federal administration policies will continue with localized traffic and transit disruptions
  • Ongoing: Protests at various Starbucks coffee locations may be anticipated during period of union contract negotiations

= Annual Archdiocese gathering/march recreating the journey of Mary and Joseph seeking shelter; Route will include various government offices in Loop

Event/Protest Best Practices

  • If you see something suspicious, report it
  • Carry water and stay hydrated
  • Choose a landmark to meet at in case you are separated from your group
  • Utilize the buddy system
  • Remain alert and be observant of surroundings
  • Leave any valuables at home
  • Do not jump any barricades
  • Secure handbags and wallets
  • Stay calm and pleasant
  • Follow your own instincts
  • Leave yourself room to move quickly
